Mike worked to have all of the repairs completed that were required by the contract. I keep saying it but we are getting closer! He had the windows replaced and a handyman took care of all of the termite damage. It wasn't too bad...such a relief.
We just got a tentative closing date of June 20. At the same time that Mike was on the phone I made arrangements for an apartment at Paradise Island on Southside for our temporary stay. It's on the third floor which isn't great but it will be bigger than we expected. We are picking up the keys on the 15th so we will be able to get things moved in over the weekend. We are planning to be mostly packed and move our stuff on Friday night and Saturday. Then we are going to ask friends for help moving the furniture and big stuff. We are taking the minimum into the apartment so we will be "roughing it" for a couple months. We'll see how much we actually end up moving in.
They haven't started anything at the property yet but they are going through the permitting and stuff. Can't wait til we can start to see the progress!
